Download Instructions:
IE Users:
1) Left Click on the
link above labeled "Software Components".
2) Choose "Run
This Program From Current Location". Click OK.
3) Select "Yes"
to install "foodserv.exe".
4) Click "OK".
You will then be asked for a destination folder. Click the
"Change Directory" button and type " C:\Program
Files\Innovak\Msis " in the space provided. Next click
the large button above the word "Directory".
5) Click
"Continue". The installation will begin. You
may be prompted to replace a file during this portion. This is
due to version differences in Client Access. You will click the
"Yes" button for all instances of this. It is also possible you
may get an error saying "Error Occurred While Registering File xxxxxxx.ocx"
(x's can be multiple things) in which case clicking the "Ignore"
button normally does the trick.
6) When the Setup is complete you will be asked to reboot your PC.
After rebooting you should click "Start" then "Programs".
You should see a new Program Group in this section called "MSIS
Student Reporting.
7) Create an ODBC Datasource.
You need to click your Start
button on the target PC, move your mouse to Settings and over to Control
Panel. Click the words Control
Panel. When your Control Panel appears
you should see an Icon called ODBC Datasources. Double-click that icon.
Click on the button in the top right corner called Add… This causes yet
another box to appear labeled Create A New Data Source. Click Client Access ODBC Driver (32-bit)
then click the Finish button. Next to
Data Source Name type VAKPAK. Nothing else needs to be filled out on this General Tab. Next click on the Server Tab. For “default libraries” type VAKPAK. Click on the Packages Tab and once again
type VAKPAK for the default package library.
Now click OK at the bottom.
Netscape Users:
1) Save the MSIS software
to
a folder on your PC.
2) Continue with instruction 4 above.
